LABYRINTH

The labyrinth is a prayer tool that dates back many centuries. In the Middle Ages it was used in the Cathedrals throughout Europe as a symbolic pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Earlier labyrinths date back to the early centuries of Christianity and the oldest dates from 2500 BC. Ours is a seven circuit labyrinth. This is not a maze you do not need to find the correct path, there is just the one path to the center and one path back out.

Our Labyrinth is what is called a medieval style similar to the one found on the floor of the Cathedral in Chartes, France.

Today the labyrinth represents a pilgrimage of offering one’s whole being to God.

For instructions on walking our labyrinth, click here to download a PDF

For more information visit the Labyrinth Society

Our Labyrinth was built as and Eagle Scout Project by Jack Stephenson from the troop that we sponsor.

This is just the first stage of several that will turn this beautiful wooded area into a Community Prayer Garden for all of King's Grant to enjoy. The next project is an outdoor Stations of the Cross.

The Men's Group is led by the rector of St. Aidan's and is reading and discussing Richard Rohr's "Falling Upward, a spirituality for the second half of life." SPIRITUAL DIRECTION

We have several people who are offering Spiritual Direction. Spiritual Direction gives you a partner and mentor on your spiritual journey. You will meet with your director monthly to discuss how your prayer life is going, seek consultation if what you are hearing or feeling called to is truly God's desire for you. There is usually a fee involved that is discussed between the diretor and the directee. You can email the rector for more information and to discuss options.
